Program Overview

The Teacher Training and Certification Program by M Academy by Mathico is designed for mathematics students, educators, and teachers who want to teach students in the United States through online platforms.

The program prepares candidates to understand the teaching methods, expectations, lesson structures, classroom practices, and digital tools commonly used in U.S. online education.

This program is designed as a hiring pathway for qualified candidates who want to become Mathico-certified online math teachers.

Candidates who successfully complete the training, pass the certification process, and meet Mathico teaching standards will be added to our certified teacher pool and will be matched with available online teaching opportunities based on course demand, subject expertise, performance, and availability.

Potential Teaching Compensation

Certified teachers may be considered for online teaching opportunities with compensation ranging from $20-$60 per hour. Compensation depends on course level, teacher qualifications, teaching performance, subject area, and available class assignments.

Available Training Pathways

Khan Academy School Program (Grades K–8)

Duration: 2 weeks (4 training sessions)Fee: $100

High School Mathematics Courses

Duration: 2 weeks (4 training sessions)Fee: $100

Potential Compensation: $30-$40/hour

Math Olympiad Preparation (Math Kangaroo, AMC 8, AMC 10)*

Duration: 2 weeks (8 training sessions)Fee: $200

Potential Compensation: $30-$60/hour

*Math Olympiad Preparation may include Math Kangaroo Grades 1-8, AMC 8, and AMC 10.

Certification sessions

Certification sessions are included in each training pathway. They include lesson planning, lesson format, timing breakdown, technical teaching setup, online teaching tools, communication with students and parents, working ethics, and professional expectations.

Introduction Session 

Before the program begins, all applicants will attend an Introduction Session. During this session, candidates will receive an overview of the program structure, training options, certification requirements, teaching expectations, examination process, and available teaching pathways.

Examination and Certification

Option 1: Training + Certification. Candidates may enroll in one or more training pathways. For candidates who enroll in at least one training course, the examination and certification process is included at no additional cost.

Option 2: Certification Only. Candidates who feel prepared may choose to take the examination and certification process without enrolling in a training pathway. Certification-only fee: $100.

Step-by-Step Guide for Applicants

1. Complete the application form.

2. Make an initial selection of training course(s).

3. Attend the Introduction Session.

4. Confirm the selected training pathway.

5. Enroll in the selected course(s).

6. Complete the training sessions, assignments, and certification sessions. 

7. Take the examination.

8. Pass certification.

9. Join the certified teacher pool.

10. Become eligible to be matched with available online teaching opportunities.
