Team & Mission

We are Mathico – Advanced Math School. What we offer goes beyond traditional math and creates perspectives for top university admissions and base for future career development. Our schools provide systematic preparation for National and International Olympiads and Competitions with an emphasis on students’ critical thinking and logical composition sharpening and development. At Mathico, we foster children’s love and passion towards mathematics, encourage them to reach their full potential, and teach them to deal with the most challenging problems.

Samvel Sahakyan

Samvel is a mathematician and an inventor in the IT sector. He designed programs for math competitions and Olympiads, such as Math Kangaroo, AMC-8, AMC-10, and more. Mr. Sahakyan’s students are winners of National

and State competitions. His math passion came up early in his life, as he became the winner of several math Olympiads and competitions, including a National Olympiad. Samvel holds an MS in Computer Science and Mathematics from the State University of Armenia and Data Science from Cornell University.

Professor Mher Martirosyan

Prof. Martirosyan has taught numerous math courses at the Yerevan State University and the American University of Armenia for many years. He is a professional mathematician and an experienced educator working with

international students and academic organizations worldwide. In particular, the professor has been the creator of the authentic content of Mathico since its foundation. He developed the curriculum for Mathico School of Mathematics and designed syllabi for its programs from basic to olympiad levels. Simultaneously, he trained and then regularly supported teachers in the United States to deliver the Mathico programs successfully.

Silva Ohanyan

Silva Ohanyan is a BAB graduate from the American University of Armenia with 4+ years of experience in B2B/B2C sales, data analysis, graphic design, accounting and auditing. Silva’s love for math extends

beyond her studies and work. She’s participated in creating math olympiad problems and solutions for Space Panda!

Tigran Chtchyan

Tigran is a Mathico mathematics instructor and a coach of the Armenian National Mathematics Team. He has an outstanding background in competitive mathematics, earning a Bronze Medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) and a First Prize

at the International Mathematics Competition (IMC). With several years of experience teaching advanced students, Tigran has successfully prepared learners for prestigious competitions, including the AMC, AIME, USAMTS, and many others. His deep mathematical expertise, combined with his experience mentoring high-achieving students, enables him to challenge and inspire young mathematicians at every stage of their competitive journey.

Gayane

Ghazaryan

Gayane is a distinguished mathematics educator with a strong academic background and extensive teaching experience. Before relocating to Germany to pursue her master's studies, she led Mathico’s teaching team in Yerevan. Gayane is currently pursuing a

Master's degree in Computational Linguistics at the University of Stuttgart and holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the American University of Armenia. She also earned an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma from the EaP European School in Tbilisi, Georgia, giving her valuable insight into the IB curriculum. Her combination of academic excellence, leadership experience, and deep understanding of mathematics enables her to support students with confidence, clarity, and care.

Mane Mkhitaryan

Mane is currently a Computer Science junior at the American University of Armenia. She started her career at Mathico as an intern. She is proficient in Calculus, Numerical Analysis, Statistics,

Konstantin Gaydev

Konstantin, a standout former Mathico student, now shines as a teacher within our team. His exceptional academic journey includes multiple National and State Wins in Math Kangaroo, victories in LA and California state annual Olympiads, and notable honors

in the American Math Competitions, AMC-8 and AMC-10. His progression from one of Mathico’s brightest students to a dedicated educator reflects his deep passion for mathematics and teaching. His teaching experience at Mathico’s Summer Camp enables him to connect uniquely and effectively with his students, inspiring them with his personal journey and mathematical expertise.

Emma Minasyan

Emma Minasyan is a computer science graduate from the American University of Armenia and currently a master's student in Data Science at the University of Vienna. She has a strong interest in computer vision and machine learning, and six years of teaching

experience, including serving as a teaching assistant for courses like Discrete Mathematics and Introduction to Computer Science at AUA. Emma is passionate about helping students build confidence in technical subjects and encouraging them to think critically and creatively.

Elize Gyulgyulyan

Elize has a bachelor’s degree in financial and actuarial mathematics, a Master’s degree in Computer Science, and she is on her way to having a Ph.D. in Computer Science. She is familiar with the Pearson Qualification math program, International A Level

and IGCSE, Common core math program, and more. My tutoring experience covers the following math areas: Algebra 1,2, Geometry, Pre-calculus, Calculus AB and BC, Statistics, the math sections of the SAT, ACT, GMAT, GRE tests.

Zhenya Aghayan

Zhenya Aghayan is a Bachelor's student in Applied Statistics and Data Science at Yerevan State University. She teaches mathematics to students in Grades 2–9 at Mathico, focusing on logical reasoning and problem-solving skills. Alongside her

teaching, Zhenya has experience applying data analysis and business intelligence techniques to real-world projects. She is passionate about making math both practical and engaging, helping students build a strong foundation for future success.

Aditya Joshi is a rising junior at Edgemont Junior–Senior High School with a remarkable passion for mathematics and a longstanding record of academic excellence. He has consistently ranked among the Top 20 students in New York State in the Math

Kangaroo Competition every year from Grade 4 through Grade 8 (2020–2024), including an impressive Top 5 state finish in 2023. Aditya has further strengthened his analytical and quantitative skills through Honors Math coursework, as well as prestigious summer programs at the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, where he studied Game Theory and Economics, and Columbia University, where he explored Macroeconomics. With a patient, thoughtful, and encouraging approach, Aditya enjoys helping students develop confidence in mathematics by making challenging concepts engaging, approachable, and enjoyable to learn.

His academic journey has been enriched through prestigious programs such as the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth and Fordham Preparatory School’s Higher Achievement Program, and he has been selected to attend highly competitive summer programs at both the Wharton School and Columbia University.
